Did I ever tell you that we took a vacation much like this when Harley was first diagnosed with autism? As a sibling support type vacation...it was awesome..a lot of the same activities...In the same type of setting too!? Something therapeutic about being in the woods / mountains I guess? I am so glad that the children got some time to relax and enjoy their time...
One day, while walking on the beach my 4 year old approached me and handed me a rock. "mommy, can you put this rock in your purse"? He asked. "No son," I said "rocks don't go in purses". "But mom!" He protested. "It's a miracle! And miracles can go in purses!". And he's right. Miracles can be found anywhere they please. My life is crazy and chaotic, and I've dealt with more heartache than most could bear, but I continue to find miracles in the strangest of places. Like the rock I carry in my purse.
This blog is my life, in print. The good, the bad, the ugly and the beauty of raising 6 kids and holding on to what's left of my sanity in the process.
